Sharing
Patients, labs, mentors and secure links.
No. The recipient opens the link in their browser and sees the photographs — no account and no sign-in. That's why every link can be revoked at any time, and by default expires after 7 days.
How sharing worksYes. You can share a whole folder, or only the photographs you select within it.
How sharing worksYes. You can revoke a link at any time from the Shared page or the patient's record. It stops opening straight away, and photographs already open on the recipient's screen stop loading within 15 minutes.
How sharing worksYes, by default. A new link expires 7 days after it's created. When you share, you can choose 14 or 28 days, or No expiry — the link then stays active until you revoke it. You can change a live link's expiry, or revoke it, at any time from Shared.
How sharing worksYes. The Shared page lists every link you've created — active, expired and revoked — and each patient's record shows who their photographs were shared with. You can also see how many times a link has been viewed.
Yes. When you create a link you can copy it, open it straight in WhatsApp, or have SmileSort email it to the recipient. Only the link is sent — never the photographs themselves.
How sharing worksSmileSort is designed to give you more control over access than attaching photographs to ordinary messages: links expire by default, can be revoked at any time, and you can see when they've been viewed.
